LET IT GO

Think of how you want others to perceive you
LET IT GO
by Lisa Caprelli
I often hear people who are divorced talking about their ex who did this and did that.  I have to tell you that it gets kind of annoying to be around you when you only bad mouth the person you once actually picked.
I fall victim to this, too.  But when I look at the energy and weight you give those messages to YOUR day, I realize he or she is not worth revisiting your past or complaining about the inevitable.

It is not attractive to hear about your ex and what they did and how they screwed you over and how they are awful, or how they are a monster, etc.  I am sure it is true to some extent, but LET IT GO.  I have learned the art of letting go.  You will find that you have so much peace, happiness and new time to your day.
I follow Tony Robbins' philosophy of allowing yourself 10 minutes a day, preferable in the morning, to vent and express how much you dislike or feel about a past situation that will have little to no merit to your present day or tomorrow.

Letting go is an art.  I relish in it.  There is so much to accomplish for yourself for today.  What new things can you do instead of doing the old?  What time can you spend with those you love instead of wasting your precious time.  The best revenge is massive success.  And the best you can do for yourself is give yourself massive newness of time, energy and becoming.

Life happens.  Let it go.  Divorce full steam ahead!
